2018 Travel Plans

Just wanted to make a quick post documenting my travel plans for the coming year!

Washington, D.C.

Over Easter 2018 my husband and I will be traveling to Washington, D.C. We plan to enjoy the lovely cherry blossoms that time of year, and some other things we can’t enjoy back home (like warm weather in March and fresh seafood!) while we are there. We got a pretty good deal on flights and our hotel, and since there is great cheap public transportation and the majority of attractions (Smithsonian museums, national monuments and memorials) are free, it should be a fairly affordable trip, too!

Boston, Massachusetts

A couple of my friends and I have been keeping tabs on the stage musical of Moulin Rouge that has been in production for over a year now. When we saw that the show would have a run in Boston before heading to Broadway we thought, hey, why  not go?! It’s a little crazy but we decided to buy tickets and plan the trip over the 4th of July. I imagine Boston, a city so connected to the Revolutionary War, will be a fantastic place to spend a few days during that time, so we have dubbed the trip “Freedom Week” and are quite excited.

Australia and New Zealand

Finally, toward the end of the year, my husband and I will be traveling to Continent #4 (as part of our visiting-the-seven-continents-in-the-first-seven-years-we’re-married plan) and heading to Australia! The current plan is to do about a week in Australia and another week in New Zealand, but nothing is set in stone yet. I am sure we’ll have an excellent time and be able to enjoy lots of outdoor activities!

So where are you going in 2018!? Have you been anywhere I’m going, and if so, do you have recommendations? Let me know in the comments!
